A baby shower for 50 guests at a private venue in Delray Beach typically costs $85 to $100 per guest, all in, when you host during the day. The same shower at dinner time costs roughly double.
Most venues won't tell you why. I will , because once you understand how event pricing actually works, you can plan a beautiful shower for a lot less money.
Here is exactly what a baby shower costs at Casalina, with real numbers.

The three things you pay for
Every private event quote in South Florida is built from the same three parts. Once you can see them separately, quotes stop being confusing.
Your menu (per person). What each guest eats. At Casalina this runs $50 to $88 per person depending on the menu you choose.
The food & beverage minimum. A set amount you agree to spend on food and drinks. Casalina charges no room rental fee :) instead there's an F&B minimum, so your money goes into the party rather than into a room charge. If you spend above it, you simply pay what you consumed.
Service charge and tax. A 23% service charge is added to the final bill, plus Florida sales tax. This covers your dedicated service team, the event coordination, and gratuity.
That's it. No deposit is required to book.
Casalina's event menus and prices
Menu | Price per person | What it includes |
Summer Brunch | $50 | Family-style starters (caprese panini, arancini, avocado toast), entrées (frittata romana, eggs benedict, montecristo sandwich), fruit platter. Starts 12:30 or 1:00pm. Available in summer months only. |
Sorrento | $58 | Family-style appetizers, choice of entrée (chicken parmigiana, branzino, rigatoni bolognese), tiramisu. |
Positano | $68 | Preselect three appetizers, three entrées, two desserts — the most flexible menu for mixed groups. |
Capri | $88 | Four courses: appetizers, primi (pasta or risotto), secondi including New York steak and Alaskan salmon, three desserts served family style. |
All prices are per person, before tax and the 23% service charge. Gluten-free and other dietary needs are accommodated with advance notice.

Drinks: mimosa stations and bar packages
Showers usually add a mimosa station. Dinners usually add a bar package.
Mimosa Station (2 hours) — ice bucket, prosecco or champagne, orange, cranberry and peach mixers, fresh fruit garnish and flutes:
Classic Tier (Cin Cin Prosecco & Syltbar Rosé): $21 per person
Premium Tier (Syltbar Rosé & Valdobbiadene): $26 per person
Ultra Premium Tier (adds Champagne): $45 per person
Non-alcoholic sparkling is available on request.
Bar Packages:
Beer, wine & non-alcoholic: $30 per person for 2 hours, $40 for 3 hours
Beer, wine, liquor & non-alcoholic: $45 per person for 2 hours, $60 for 3 hours
Bar packages are optional : you can also have beverages charged based on what's actually consumed.
Why the time of day changes your price more than anything else
This is the part that surprises people, so here's the honest answer.
Casalina opens for regular dinner service at 4:00pm.
If your event is before 4:00pm, we are opening the restaurant early, just for you. Those hours would otherwise be closed. So the minimum only needs to cover opening the building and staffing your party, all our events start at 12:30pm and finish at 330pm:
$2,500 in low season (May through October)
$3,000 in high season (November through April)
If your event is at dinner, we're not adding hours — we're giving up tables we would have sold that night. To close the covered patio (which seats up to 150) for a private group, the minimum has to replace that revenue:
Starting from $6,000 in low season
Starting from $8,500 in high season
What this means for you: if you're planning a baby shower , birthday or bridal shower, host it during the day. You get the whole space, the same food, the same service, at roughly half the total cost. Nearly every shower we host is a daytime event for exactly this reason.

What hosts actually spend
Those are estimates : here's what real baby showers at Casalina look like.
Most baby showers we host run between 30 and 80 guests, and food and beverage spend typically lands between $68 and $81 per guest before tax and the service charge.
With the 23% service charge added, that's roughly $84 to $100 per guest all in.
The spread comes down to one thing: what you add on top of the menu.
What's included at no extra cost
A dedicated event coordinator (me) from first inquiry through the final toast
Personalized printed menus with your names, colors or theme
Staff (servers, bartenders and manager)
White plates, bistro-style napkins and our standard beige linens
1 to 2 hours of early access for you to decorate
No deposit to book
How to keep your shower on budget
● Book a daytime event. This is the single biggest lever — it can halve your total.
● Choose summer if you're flexible. May through October is low season, and the $50 Summer Brunch menu is only offered then.
● Use the minimum instead of fighting it. It isn't a fee — it's credit toward your own food and drinks. Roll it into a mimosa station or a grazing board rather than leaving it unspent.
● Skip the full bar package for a shower. A mimosa station at $21 per person covers the toast without a full bar package.
● Plan add-ons early. Mimosa stations, grazing boards and passed hors d'oeuvres need advance notice so the kitchen can do them properly.
